The JKSWW (official abbreviation: J. Korean Soc. Water Wastewater; Korean name: 상하수도학회지) is the official journal of the Korean Society of Water and Wastewater (JKSWW). The JKSWW was launched in 1987 and published once a year until 1991. Thanks to KSWW’s continuous growth, the KSWW has gradually developed, with publications four times a year from 1995 to 2000 and six times a year from 2001 to the present. The KSWW is issued regularly on February 15, April 15, June 15, August 15, October 15 and December 15 and has been listed on the Korea Citation Index (KCI) of the National Research Foundation of Korea since 2003. The KSWW publishes papers in Korean and English. Korean papers provide titles, contributions to water and wastewater, abstracts, tables, and figures in English so that foreign readers can understand the research results. Papers published in JKSWW are freely accessible online to anyone from the journal’s homepage, regardless of KSWW membership, to facilitate the dissemination and sharing of research findings.
KSWW primarily targets scholars in the fields of environmental engineering. The readership of KSWW includes not only researchers but also policy makers aiming for the conservation of environmental and water science, decision makers in research institutions and companies, educators teaching environmental and water sciences, as well as students interested in these fields.
